The authentic taste of the East - now on our tables. The Lebanese Bakir Emir flatbread is made in Romania, on Lebanese equipment and to a traditional recipe, which is what gives it its original taste.

It is baked in a stone oven, on the hearth, at temperatures above 400 °C, without oil, on natural leaven. The texture stays light and airy - for any moment of the day. It does contain yeast, but after baking at such a temperature the yeast becomes inactive.

Bakir Emir is not a stylisation but an honest Lebanese flatbread. The equipment is brought from Lebanon, the recipe is traditional, and that is exactly why the taste comes out the real, original one, not an approximation.

The secret of the texture is in the way it is baked. The stone hearth and a temperature above 400 °C give a thin crust and an airy crumb, without a drop of oil. The natural leaven is responsible for the lightness and the characteristic taste of bread.

The flatbread comes in two versions - white and wholegrain - to suit different tastes and dishes. Both are equally good for a quick snack and as a base for more elaborate combinations.

Packaging in a modified atmosphere keeps the flatbread fresh for up to forty days. The product is always at hand - for shawarma, a light snack or culinary ideas. Look for Bakir Emir at Colibri partners.
