Our legendary creation - the Vezzuviu cake, the bestseller that has won over lovers of fine desserts, returns in a new rendition, with raspberry.
We kept the recognisable airy sponge, with butter and cocoa, and added a delicate soufflé of vegetable cream and a generous layer of fresh raspberry. The result - a precise balance between sweet and sour, for special moments.
Vezzuviu became our calling card long ago - the kind of case where changing the recipe is risky. So we left the base as it was: an airy chocolate sponge and a delicate soufflé. What we shifted was the accent.
The generous layer of fresh raspberry brings exactly the tartness the classic needed to sound different. The sweetness of the soufflé and the depth of cocoa remain, but the raspberry makes the taste brighter and lighter - a dessert you do not tire of.
